В доме, где жила святая настоятельница Марфо-Мариинской обители Великая княгиня Елисавета Феодоровна, сегодня открыт мемориальный музей. Еще несколько лет назад здесь располагалась городская поликлиника. С 2008-го года после обширных реставрационных работ комнаты открыты для посетителей.

Узкая деревянная лестница ведет в покои Великой княгини. По фотографиям 1911 года воссоздан исторический облик двух комнат. Это – молельная, где ежедневно молилась настоятельница, и приемная, где Великая княгиня принимала посетителей, в том числе царскую семью, представителей русской и европейской знати.

В музее собраны уникальные святыни: образ Спаса Нерукотворного, вышитый Великой княгиней, созданные ею иконы святых праведных Марфы и Марии, письмо к обительским сестрам, отправленное Великой Матушкой из Алапаевской ссылки. Среди экспонатов – чудом сохранившийся рояль Великой княгини, сервиз великокняжеской четы с их фамильным гербом, а также множество редких фотографий и документов. Настоящим украшением музея стали два портрета Великой княгини Елисаветы Феодоровны, написанные народным художником Василием Нестеренко.

In a house where lived the holy abbess of Marfo-Mariinsky convent Great Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, today was opened the Memorial Museum. A few years ago here was a city clinic. Since 2008 after the vast restoration works the rooms have been opened for visitors.

The narrow wooden staircase leads to the Grand Duchess's chambers. From the photos was recreated  the historical appearance of two rooms. This is a chapel where the abbess prayed every day and a waiting room where the Great Duchess hosted visitors, including the royal family, Russian and European noble guests.

In the museum are collected unique sacraments: the Savior Nerukotvorny image, embroidered by the Grabd Duchess, the icons of holy Marfa and Maria created by her, a letter to abbess's sisters, sent by the Great Goody from her exile in Alapaevsk. Among the showpieces there is the Great Duchess's miraculously preserved piano, the grand-ducal family's dinner set with their family crest and also lots of rare photos and documents. Two portraits of the Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna painted by the national artist Vasily Nesterenko have become a real decoration of the museum.
